There can’t be that many drinks that always hit the spot, whatever you are doing, and whatever the temperature.
That’s what makes a good old cuppa so great.
Tea really is a special drink.
It is wonderful whether it’s baking hot and you’re gasping for refreshment, or you are freezing cold and you want something to warm you up.
The weird thing though, is that whatever your body temperature, tea itself always needs to be boiling hot.
And that’s why the tea cosy is such a great invention.
We live in a fast moving digital age, where yesterday’s latest thing is soon redundant.
But for me, the time-honoured tea cosy is such a brilliant invention.
Whether it’s knitted, crocheted or stitched otherwise, this low-tech invention is marvellous at keeping your teapot warm and retaining heat.
They are brilliant decorative objectives too; jazzing up the most humdrum and mundane teapot into a centrepiece that’s worthy of attention.
We love them.
These are so cute. And my family are big tea drinkers. Thanks for sharing.
