Ok, River Cottage courses, aren’t exactly cheap (Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s home is a lovely venue, but it’s hardly a cottage nowadays … more like a mini-industry that successfully sells the idea of good food and rustic charm).
Even so, it’s a fantastic venue to do a one-day course. We did cheese-making. Great fun. We learn’t how to make Ricotta and Cheshire cheese.
This course is perfect for those who love the near technical side of cooking. There’s quite a bit of science … it’s all quite fascinating, even though a lot of it went over our heads.
The day was a lot of fun … and there’s a River Cottage four course lunch thrown in too…
